June’s Anticipated Releases

Two of Us 200Although there are a lot of books being published in June, Neither Ivana nor I have a ton of books on our pre-order list for the month.  Guess it will be a great time to catch up on our reviews and TBR piles.  Here are the few that we’re looking forward to.

shadow revolutionTitle:  The Shadow Revolution
Author:  Clay Griffith & Susan Griffith
Series:  Crown & Key 01
Publish:  June 2, 2015

This is a series that Ivana and I stumbled on through NetGalley.  It’s a Steampunk Fantasy that includes sorcery, werewolves and Bedlam.  Simon Archer is introduced as a powerful young scribe that teams up with a highly skilled alchemist, Kate Anstruther.  Together they organize a rag tag group of specialists that will fight a madman and reveal secrets that were supposed to stay buried for all time.  See our review of this book here.

I found a really awesome Q & A with the Griffiths on The Bibliosanctum.

  Resistance: Dave vs. The Monsters
Author: John Birmingham
Series:  Dave Hooper 02
Publish: June 2, 2015

In this second installment of Dave vs. The Monsters, you won’t believe all the things Dave encounters .. and does!  He is one crazy oil rigger.  Check out our review of the first book in the series, Emergence, to see if Dave is your type of protagonist.

Title:  Trailer Park Fae23315657
Author: Lillith Saintcrow
Series:  Gallow and Ragged
Publish: June 23, 2015

We don’t know much about this book yet other than the publisher’s description, but it looks interesting.  We’re looking forward to checking it out.

23308133Title:  The Undying Legion
Author: Clay Griffith & Susan Griffith
Series:  Crown & Key 02
Publish: June 30, 2015

This is book #2 in the Crown and Key series.  Simon, Kate and the gang are after a cult like leader that is killing young women in an ancient ritual in order to release an ancient deity.  They battle zombies, demons and a powerful mummy as well as sorting through ancient texts, hieroglyphics and symbols to discover clues to use against the forces of evil.  We’ll have a review of this book closer to publication day.

  Ascendence: Dave vs. The Monsters
Author: John Birmingham
Series:  Dave Hooper 03
Publish: June 29, 2015

Dave’s third adventure turns a little more serious as the daemons get smarter, the allies get more ruthless, and trouble gets a little too close to Dave’s family. Our review of Ascendance will be on our site closer to publication day.

17621449Title:  Dreamwalker
Author: Allyson James
Series: Stormwalker 05
Publish: June 2015

Is it really going to be released?  It’s not on Amazon.com, so I don’t know what to think.  There wasn’t much of a description, so my vote is that it will go along the way of Alex Craft and Grave Vision.  Darn it.  Anyway, Stormwalker Janet Begay and Dragon Mick are back after book #4 and saving vampire Ansel.  This time to battle a returning powerful mage.
