Nell’s Opinion & Book Hunt

My prayers are with the world today.  Not just France, but with the world.  Several countries were unfortunately represented indexin death with the toll of over 129 people killed plus 352 injured. A group of fanatics, who will remain nameless, has claimed responsibility for the “War in the heart of Paris” and the killings in Beirut.

Why does the group’s name remain nameless?  In my opinion, the guy that masterminded those attacks – his name should never be mentioned.  He should fail to be remembered. Their cause should be ignored.  It’s the people who help others that should be publicized.  Can you imagine the amount of bravery that flooded the streets of Paris Friday night?  Friends, loved ones helping one another.  Maybe a mother stood in front of a child to save the child from injury?  Maybe a stranger saw another in danger and pulled him to safety?  Maybe a father jumped an attacker and saved dozens of lives just by that one unselfish act?  Those are the stories I want to hear about.  The heroes.  The good people who stood in line and gave blood.  Those that did whatever they could to make someone else feel better even though they may have been scared out of their minds too.  Those folks who stood in the face of terror and did what came naturally – saving someone else pain.  There are so many of those people out there that we never hear about and we should.  The only problem with that is that those folks will not step up and be recognized.  It’s not in their make up.  They did it because it needed to be done and someone needed help.  To all of those people out there, I wish I could give you credit where credit is due.  Thank you for being you.
