Nervous Nellie’s nervousness necessitates knowledge of the novel (or, in other words, SPOILERS).
This is a stort paranormal romance. No sex, no cliffhanger and I is going to be a stand alone, but you never know.
At a quick 52 pages, I was able to read this in no time flat. It did promote some tears, but it wasn’t heart wrenching. The author did very well in creating characters that quickly became someone to care for.
Some short stories make me feel like I’m rushing to get to the end and when it gets to the end it’s a quick wham, bam, thank you ma’am. This one was not like that. This was a steady paced romance with a fairly involved story line. I felt, when I was finished, like I had read a full length novel because I knew the world and the characters so well.
I know Bec McMaster is a great story teller, so this story should be no different, but I want to reassure any one out there that it was worth the time and effort to track it down and give it a read.
