Hunter and Morgan hate each other, it’s no lie. But when dark forces are playing against both of them, it’s calls for a team up.

The ending of this one is intense. Morgan is nearly burned to death and betrayed by the person she cares for most. People are not who they seem anymore and the ground has shifted beneath her again as she realizes history is starting to repeat itself and no one can be trusted. Who can stop the ancient magic that seems to curse her at every turn? Will she share her mother’s fate?

badge5v4The girl has more power than she realizes but without the knowledge to use that power, she’s kind of stuck in limbo. It makes it frustrating for the character but also the reader. If only Morgan was dark like her enemies and could blast them all away with her inherited gifts. I wish she would turn sides. That’d make it cool too.

But alas, she is not evil. Though the debate within her may lead readers to think otherwise.

Wonderful writing and some new action scenes involving some very powerful people. But the war is only beginning and Morgan’s got to build herself up – and quite possibly an army.
