Publisher’s Description: A deadly infection threatens to wipe out humanity. Likes: This is a powerful start to what I am sure will be an amazing series! I love that we get to see the destruction of the world as we know it in a matter of hours and that this novel isn’t just a typical vampire/post-apocalyptic tale. The Weepers appeal to our base sense of vampires—mindless killing machines—while the Silver, although acting more human, think differently and have different morals than mere humans do.

The dynamics between Drew, Sol, and Emmy are amazing. Emmy fights her feelings for both of them. It isn’t love at first sight for her and it’s refreshing to have a young female fight—vehemently at times—to not become an object. It is interesting to see Drew blatantly ignore Sol’s orders and vampire customs in an (attempted) effort to keep Emmy safe.

Dislikes: While I do appreciate Emmy’s strong personality, I think she makes rather impulsive decisions at times. It can make for some tiresome situations.

Overall I really enjoyed this novel and look forward to more world building and seeing what trouble Drew and Sol can get Emmy out of. I give A Bargain in Silver 4 stars.
