For Wilhelm, all seems lost as he waits, plotting and hoping to escape the knights. But are they unknowingly revealing a mystery to him? One that would lead him back to a new weapon, and the girl whose kiss changed everything …

Likes: The story is unique and captures reader’s interest. It is fast paced and for the most part, flows well. I still love the characters. Abby is coming into her powers as a knight but still has a lot to learn as she copes with being a teen and the mayhem that trolls and knights invoke. Her brother Michael plays a more important role in this novel and I look forward to seeing how his problems will be resolved. Wilhelm is still interesting and I can’t wait to see what the future has in store for him, as well as his and Abby’s relationship.

badge3v4Dislikes: Since I received an ARC, I am hoping that the little grammatical errors and misspelled words will be fixed before the final copy is released. There were many of them and it distracted from the story. A few times there were even wrong words used in a sentence, like know instead of no. There were a few scenes that were confusing as well. The first dream sequence left me in a daze.

The story still captures my heart and interest but because of technical issues, I have to give this book three gems.

  1. ARCs are expected to have typographical errors. If it weren’t for those, what would you rate it?

  2. Excellent point Ivana! I would give it a four because there are still some confusing scenes that left me wondering what was actually going on.
